MobaXterm هي احدى أهم الأدوات التي توفر بيئة اللينكس أو اليونيكس على نظام الويندوز Windows في تطبيق واحد، ولأنها توفر الكثير من الوظائف التي صممت خصيصا للمبرمجين وأصحاب المواقع، لمديري تكنولوجيا المعلومات والى حد كبير جميع المستخدمين الذين يحتاجون إلى التعامل مع وظائفهم النائية بطريقة أكثر بساطة.

يوفر MobaXterm جميع الأدوات شبكة الاتصال البعيدة الهامة (SSH، X11، RDP، VNC، FTP، MOSH، ...) وأوامر يونكس (bash, ls, cat, sed, grep, awk, rsync, ...) إلى سطح المكتب ويندوز ، في ملف واحد exe محمول.

هناك العديد من المزايا في هذا التطبيق لمهام الشبكة البعيدة، على سبيل المثال عند استخدام SSH للاتصال، سوف تنبثق لك نافدة تلقائيا للتصفح بـ SFTP وهي واجهة رسومية من أجل مباشرة تحرير الملفات عن بعد.

عند وضع MobaXterm، ركز على هدف بسيط: اقتراح بديهية واجهة المستخدم للتمكن من الوصول إلى خدمة المناطق النائية بكفاءة من خلال الشبكات أو الأنظمة المختلفة. وفيه العديد من المزايا أدعها تكتشفها بنفسك.
